With over 16,000 acres and sweeping views of the San Juan Mountains, Ralph Lauren created an idyll all his own. The Double R L (R R L) Ranch he and his wife Ricky call their vacation home is a working ranch encompassing his dream of “nature, trees, animals, and big sky.” The ranch includes a main lodge, guest tepees, and several outbuildings for living, entertaining, and the working cowboys and farm workers who run the ranch.
A plethora of valleys, lakes, streams, pastures, prairies, forests, and diverse flora and fauna make up the beautiful landscape. With an homage to American style, the Laurens have decorated their vacation home using artifacts, rustic furniture, 19th century antiques, and vintage accents. Pieces from the Ralph Lauren Home Collection are interspersed with preppy items such as red Polo towels hanging in one of the cabins.
